I love the idea of reconnecting with place I feel that people are beginning to realize the importance of having a sense of place (at least artists, and they are the ones who begin discussions of these things anyway). I like your choice of camera, it evokes a sense of history. Rather then creating dramatic images it seems you have chosen to create photos that are subtle; they draw you into the entire image and make you want to slow down and really explore what is happening.
